On The Road Again
Taking a spring break trip?
This is about the size of vehicle we need to fit our family in.
Things to remember and plan before you leave on a trip.
Turn down the heat, or turn it off completely if it is warm enough.
Turn off the air conditioning.
Take out the trash before you leave, you don't want to return to a stinky home.
Ask the neighbors to take the garbage down to the curb on garbage day.
Turn off your computers.
Alert your neighbors that you will be gone.
Ask your neighbor to grab the mail or bring in any packeges. If you don't want to burden anyone have the post office hold your mail.
Board your pet, or ask a friend to care for it. Bring a small gift back from your trip as a thank-you.
If you have a pet,you may want to consider hiring a house sitter. Offer to pay $50-$100.00 for staying at your home, caring for your pet, watering the plants, bring in the mail, and take the garbage out. Make sure you trust them, I have heard horror stories of people returning home to a home that someone has thrown a party in.
Make sure to leave the numbers for emergency needs with a neighbor or your house sitter.

Plumber ect......
Eat up the food in the fridge. before you leave. This way you won't come home to spoiled food, or waste the food.
Make sure all the windows are closed and locked.
Set your lights on timers so it appears there is someone at home.
Happy and Safe Travels!
