The Hexagon Wall Inspired By Thistle Wood Farm
I pretty much started with a blank state. There was not a whole lot going on in this space. I knew I wanted to do something in this space but it took me a while to figure out what that was.
This space is hard to work with because it is so narrow. I can't have big pieces of furniture in this space. There is just not enough room.
So I wanted to try to add pizzazz by having an accent wall, or two!
This is the before photo. I started by painting the wall on the right.

Here is what the wall on the right looked like after................

I painted this wall this beautiful Laguna blue color. So I wanted to incorporate that color into the wall on the left. I wanted the two walls to compliment each other.
I follow this very creative blogger Karianne over at Thistlewood Farm http://www.thistlewoodfarms.com/
When I saw her wall I was inspired. Please stop by her website and take a look at why I was inspired. You will see why!
I Love her style, love her grace.

So begins the Karianne inspired process on the left wall................................

My Helper!
The wall in all it's glory! Hallelujah! Let the light shine down!

A different angle.................

A close up view with a bit of decor to help showcase the wall...............................

I have a few more tweaks here and there, a few spots to touch up. The best part about this project is the time I spent painting with my step daughter. Immediately she showed an interest in helping. With a little hard work we can create beautiful spaces.
The wall is by no means perfect. But the process was rewarding.
I won't point out the very squat hexagon on the wall. Not sure what happened there? I thought my measurements were pretty accurate. I guess not.
"One of us is not like the others." When you come for a visit you can see if you can find it. But I will never tell!
I think I may just sit a spell and soak in the lovely colors.
